Nepal National Cricket Team is now in Sri Lanka for the preparation of upcoming tournament Asian Cricket Council Emerging Teams Cup which is schedule to begin from 17th to 25th of August in Singapore. Eight teams from the Asian region of International Cricket Council are participating among them four teams are the Under-23 of Test Playing nations i.e. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. In this tournament Nepal is pooled with India, Pakistan and all time rivalry Afghanistan.

| Nepal National Cricket team touring Sri Lanka
Nepal team is now touring Sri Lanka for the preparation of ACC Emerging Teams Cup. Rainy weather had affected badly the training of players at home. They set off for Sri Lanka on 1st August. Two major player of the squad, vice captain Gyanendra Malla and bowler Basanta Regmi are now playing club cricket in Canada. They’re scheduled to join the team in Sri Lanka on 4th and 9th of August respectively. Nepal team will play four practice matches against Sri Lanka U-23 team which is the same team to represent Sri Lanka in ACC Emerging Teams Cup later and one game against North and East Combined Provincial team.

According to the head coach of Nepal national cricket team Pubudu Dasayanake, the fixtures of Sri Lanka tour is as follows :
- 7th Aug, Nepal Vs SL U23 at the Bloomfield Grounds, Time: 10 am Local
- 8th Aug, Nepal Vs SL U23 at the NCC Grounds, Time: 10 am local
- 9th August, No Match – Rest Day
- 10th Aug, Nepal Vs SL U23 at Thurstan Grounds, Time: 10 am
- 11th Aug, Nepal Vs SL U23 at the NCC Grounds, Time: 10 am
- 12th August, No Match – Rest Day
- 13th Aug, Nepal Vs North East combine at the Moors Grounds Time: 10 am
